About Me
Hi! I’m Jasmine.
That’s where I come in. My practice is a safe space for talking about all those things you’re ‘not allowed’ to talk about in most settings. There’s no judgement here- whether you’re exploring a relationship or on your own journey, this is where you get to talk about that kink you’re not sure how to explore, how to build intimacy with your partner or how to reclaim your pleasure.
My Story
I started my journey into psychology and sexology with a Bachelor of Health Science. At the time, I thought I wanted to be a surgeon. Although this pathway was exciting, I found I didn’t just want to perform operations, I wanted to find out the story of each patient. So… this led me to study a Postgraduate in Psychology.
After my Psychology degree, I was led down a rabbit hole of learning and gaining experience in how to navigate some of life’s trickiest conversations. What I’ve learned is that I’m kinda great at talking about the things most people don’t want to talk about. ‘Uncomfortable’ isn’t a word in my vocabulary. In my career, I’ve had some incredibly rewarding experiences. I have worked as a doula to refugee and immigrant women and completed a Remedial Massage Diploma and a trauma recovery program through Angelhands. I was also a sex worker and domination/dynamic play worker for many years and loved the work I did in this area.
I have been operating a somatic therapy practice, which offers touch services and practical learning about pleasure for many years and helping people in this way has brought me so much joy. I’m one of those lucky people who get to work a job they love, every single day.
Phosphorescence Therapy is an exclusive talk therapy practice where I work with you to explore your individual story or your relationships.
Life isn’t sugar-coated, and your therapy shouldn’t be either. If you want to see change or shifts in your life, you’re going to have to delve deep. We’re going to have to have some difficult, sometimes awkward conversations. We’re going to have to feel our emotions. And from there, we’ll work through them. In a safe, supportive environment.
I love using tools, such as narrative work, to help you navigate your needs or situation. You have the power to write your next chapter- what does that look like? Where do you want your story to go? What does the ‘happy ending’ look like to you?
My practice is focused on body and language. Our emotions are often held in our bodies. How do we release those feelings? How do we shake it up? It’s important to honour what our bodies are indicating to us and find a connection between what we think and how we feel. At Phosphorescence Therapy, we’re exploring your experiences which helps you to connect better with yourself, your sexuality and your story.
